About The Position

Bullish is an institutionally focused global digital asset platform that provides market infrastructure and information services. These services include the Bullish Exchange, a regulated digital assets spot and derivatives exchange that integrates a high-performance central limit order book matching engine with automated market making for deep and predictable liquidity, regulated in Germany, Hong Kong, and Gibraltar. Bullish also offers CoinDesk Indices, a collection of tradable proprietary and single-asset benchmarks; CoinDesk Data, a broad suite of digital assets market data and analytics; and CoinDesk Insights, a digital asset media and events provider operating Coindesk.com. The company is seeking an Exchange Operations Specialist to join its team and drive the future of digital asset trading. This role is at the forefront of Bullish operations, ensuring the seamless and secure functioning of their NYSE-listed exchange. It is described as an exciting operations role at the intersection of capital markets and cutting-edge financial technology.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Technology or a related field.
5+ years of relevant experience with 2+ years in a trading operations, or trade support management role within digital assets, FinTech, or electronic trading.
Strong background and deep understanding of trading, market structure, and the full order lifecycle.
Technically proficient and have hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting complex electronic trading systems running in the cloud.
Comfortable diving into system logs, diagnosing issues, and working with engineers to resolve them
Familiarity with risk management, digital asset custody solutions, KYC/AML and cyber-security best practices.
Demonstrates strong critical thinking and a data-driven approach with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in FX, equities, or derivatives is a huge plus.
Proficiency and understanding of the FIX protocol, APIs, and market data infrastructure is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Fine-tune the platform to make sure trading is fast and reliable, providing high-quality support for institutional clients.
Establish trust from clients and grow the business by keeping the trading environment top-notch.
Engineer low-latency "algorithmic trading paths", scale infrastructure to handle millions of transactions during market spikes, ensure the trading algorithm can recover rapidly, and implement security measures to detect unusual trade bursts.
Serve as a critical link between sales teams, institutional clients, and the technology organization.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to support new products and features, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into the live trading environment.
Lead projects to enhance client workflows and operational processes, directly contributing to platform efficiency, risk reduction, and the ability to scale.
Build and maintain powerful dashboards and reports that correlate deep technical metrics with key business KPIs.
Empower the executive team to make data-driven strategic decisions through insights.
Work in close partnership with Finance, Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams to navigate the complex regulatory landscape of digital assets, ensuring a robust governance structure is maintained across all exchange activities.
