About The Position

GLOW Academy is seeking a part-time Teacher Assistant to join its EC team. This role involves supporting EC students in both general education classrooms and pull-out settings. The Teacher Assistant will gain hands-on experience supporting the exceptional children's teacher and contributing to the "whole girl" education philosophy, which focuses on leadership, confidence, family support, and a rigorous college preparatory program.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid TB test issued by the local county board of health or recognized medical authority is required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Work individually and in small groups with EC students to reinforce learning of materials or skills introduced by the teacher.
• Assist teachers in devising special strategies for helping students learn content and monitoring student performance through progress monitoring, data collection, and IEP goals.
• Constantly monitor the safety and well-being of all students and offer encouragement to increase self-esteem.
• Perform various clerical duties as needed, maintain records of student progress, make copies, and develop instructional materials.
• Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality regarding EC students.
• Strive to maintain and improve professional competence and participate in the development and support of the special education program.
• Perform related duties as requested by the teacher, EC Coordinator, or school administration.
