About The Position

This is an EWIS Group Head II role with Gulfstream Special Missions. The position leads a multi-disciplined group of engineering employees with diverse skills. Utilizing creative and mature engineering judgment, the role manages complex engineering problems by directing subordinate employees. The role determines program objectives and requirements, organizes and estimates work scope of programs and projects.

Requirements

  • Previous program and project management experience with personnel, schedules, and budgets.
  • Extensive knowledge of EWIS component selection criteria.
  • Extensive experience with Mentor Graphics Capital Harness System (CHS) Tools or similar toolset and process development experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical harness installation and design guidance documentation (AC 43.13B, SAE AS50881, AC1701-1).
  • In-depth knowledge of FAR 25 sub part H and previous amendment level design requirements.
  • Demonstrated performance in a prior EWIS project.
  • Knowledge of EWIS component qualification requirements and documentation (EIA 364, MIL-DTL-38999, MIL-DTL-50151).
  • Extensive knowledge of EWIS installation criteria.
  • Extensive experience with Catia V5, Electrical Workbenches Tools and process development experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 13 years Engineering experience.
  • 8 years specific technical discipline.
  • 5 years supervisory or broad managerial responsibility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills and the ability to gain the cooperation of others.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience credit considered for related advanced degrees limited to 2 yrs with Masters and 4 yrs with PhD in field applicable to this job.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and administers organizational unit schedules, tasks, and deliverables.

  • Conducts briefings for senior level management.
  • Conducts technical meetings for internal/external contacts and customers.
  • Acts as an advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff members to meet schedules and resolve complex technical or operational problems.
  • Directly participates in functional projects.
  • Leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
  • Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to organizational policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
