We are seeking an experienced Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) Design Engineer to support an aircraft engineering work package in Greensboro, NC. The role focuses on detailed wiring and harness definition as well as physical 3D harness routing and installation using CATIA. The engineer will work from customer-provided Electrical System Schematic Diagrams (ESSDs), translating them into detailed, manufacturable harness designs. This is a harness-focused design position, not an electrical power or load analysis, electrical architecture, or initial ESSD development role. The desired engineer can support both wiring diagram and Harness Definition Report (HDR) development and 3D routing and installation. Prior aircraft OEM program experience is desirable, particularly for a potential on-site coordination assignment. The engineer will define conductors, wire IDs and lengths, connector pin-outs, terminations, and grounding points; generate and maintain manufacturing-ready HDRs; and coordinate revisions and resolve discrepancies between ESSD inputs, wiring diagrams, and HDR outputs. Using CATIA, the engineer will design aircraft harness routes and installations, create installation drawings, and coordinate integration with aircraft structure and adjacent systems. The position also supports manufacturing methods, harness fabrication and installation clarification, design changes, configuration control, technical reviews, and shop-floor issue resolution. Suitably experienced candidates may coordinate on-site work-package activities, deliverables, and customer communications.
