About The Position

The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician II helps provide a safe care environment for patients, staff, and—where appropriate—visitors. The role requires additional education and/or training in cleaning and disinfection, handling infectious and solid waste, and maintaining hard surfaces with specialized equipment. It includes quality assurance work to reduce harmful pathogens and support patients, visitors, and staff. While performing assigned tasks, the technician may interact with patients, visitors, and family members. These interactions should be appropriate to the demographics of patients served in assigned specialty areas and may involve physical, psychological, educational, and safety-related aspects. The technician supports timely patient-room turns while following environmental hygiene and infection-prevention principles and organizational quality standards, including AORN Guidelines. Expanded duties include maintaining hard floors and carpet and completing specialty projects as needed. This is a full-time evening/night position scheduled 7:30 p.m.–4:00 a.m. The employee must work every other weekend.

Responsibilities
