The Housekeeping Associate II is responsible for the general cleanliness of the following areas at the Medical Facilities: Procedure areas, Wound Care, Emergency Department, GI Lab, Intensive Care Unit patient care areas, restrooms, and all other areas requiring Environmental Services support. Removes trash and linen from the hospital using compactor and cardboard baler. Distributes linen throughout the hospital. The routine work of this employee, depending on the area of assignment, consists of sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping, surface cleaning all floors, walls, ceilings, sinks, mirrors, showers, commodes, windows, and other glass areas, waiting areas and public hallways. Performs terminal cleaning of isolation rooms or exam rooms as required. Moving furniture and other heavy equipment is accomplished as directed. Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
