About The Position

Responsible for the general cleanliness of various areas within the Medical Facilities, including procedure areas, Wound Care, Emergency Department, GI Lab, Intensive Care Unit patient care areas, restrooms, and other areas requiring Environmental Services support. This role involves removing trash and linen using a compactor and cardboard baler, and distributing linen throughout the hospital. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping, and surface cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings, sinks, mirrors, showers, commodes, windows, and other glass areas, as well as waiting areas and public hallways. The position also requires performing terminal cleaning of isolation rooms or exam rooms as needed, and moving furniture and heavy equipment as directed. Employees are expected to complete established competencies within the designated introductory period. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Able to read, write and understand the English language.
• 2 years of cleaning experience in hospitality or healthcare.
• Terminal cleaning experience.

Nice To Haves

• High School Graduate, GED, or 2 years of full time work experience in environmental services in lieu of education.

Responsibilities
