About The Position

Responsible for the general cleanliness of various areas at Medical Facilities including procedure areas, Wound Care, Emergency Department, GI Lab, Intensive Care Unit patient care areas, rest rooms, and all other areas requiring Environmental Services support. This role involves removing trash and linen using a compactor and cardboard baler, and distributing linen throughout the hospital. The routine work includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping, and surface cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings, sinks, mirrors, showers, commodes, windows, and other glass areas, waiting areas, and public hallways. The position also performs terminal cleaning of isolation rooms or exam rooms as required, moves furniture and other heavy equipment as directed, and completes established competencies within the designated introductory period. Other related duties are assigned.
