About The Position

Right in the heart of State College, PA you will find the newest entertainment destination. Happy Valley Casino has taken over in The Nittany Mall, bringing the area its first ever gaming facility! With two dining options, cocktail service, 30+ table games and over 600 slot machines, we are sure to be the number one entertainment destination in The Happy Valley! We are looking for an experienced EVS Shift Supervisor to join our Environmental Services team. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the property while ensuring exceptional service standards for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong leadership skills, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
A minimum of one (1) year of public area cleaning or related housekeeping/environmental services experience required.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License required.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
The ability to effectively coach, motivate, and develop team members.
The ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
The ability to perform repetitive motion tasks throughout the shift.
The ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6-8+ hours per shift.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and additional shifts as required.
The ability to obtain and maintain all licenses required by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

Responsibilities

Directing the maintenance program of assigned areas to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive environment throughout the property.
Recommending, documenting, and issuing disciplinary actions as appropriate.
Assigning daily duties and overseeing the work of EVS team members.
Providing direct supervision, coaching, evaluation, and training for assigned staff.
Monitoring staff performance and ensuring adherence to departmental standards and procedures.
Submitting requisitions for cleaning supplies, equipment, and other departmental needs.
Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA requirements.
Assisting in the development and implementation of standards and procedures to ensure cleaning quality and excellent guest service.
Inspecting public areas and work assignments to ensure cleanliness expectations are met.
Responding to guest and team member concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Promoting positive guest interactions and public relations.
Providing outstanding customer service and contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Assisting with scheduling needs and staffing coverage as directed.
Supporting departmental goals and maintaining open communication with management and team members.
Maintaining accurate records and reports as required.
Working any shift as needed and being available for emergency situations when required.
Performing all other duties as assigned.
