About The Position

Responsible for implementing and ensuring all housekeeping operations are in accordance with Chukchansi Gold Procedures and high standard levels. This role directly supervises all supervisors and lead Environmental Services Attendants, and indirectly supervises all Environmental Services Attendants. The EVS Manager ensures that all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and maintains strict adherence to all OSHA Safety rules and regulations. They are responsible for advising management of repairs and replacements necessary in assigned areas and are accountable for the cleanliness and overall condition of the public areas, restrooms, and offices. The position requires maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record and may be used as an usher as needed by management for events. The EVS Manager must perform job duties, demonstrate excellent work habits, and deliver exceptional service to internal and external guests, exhibiting the highest degree of professionalism, including appearance, attendance, reliability, teamwork, ethics, integrity, and compliance with all governing policies and procedures. They must employ positive and professional communication skills and exercise professional interpersonal abilities (tact, diplomacy, and respect) with guests and co-workers at all times, while maintaining a high level of organization, including an orderly and neat work area and excellent time management skills leading to the highest levels of productivity. A desire to succeed and willingness to help others succeed is essential, as is participation in open communication and providing feedback to management regarding operations, staffing, personal development, and operational productivity. The EVS Manager serves as a contributing Team Member of CGRC enhancing operations in all its business endeavors.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required with five years minimum experience in housekeeping supervisory position required or Equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all Casino Policies and Procedures are adhered to in the EVS Department.
  • Ensures that all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Maintains strict adherence that all OSHA Safety rules and regulations are followed.
  • Responsible for the supervision and coordination of EVS staff activities throughout the casino ensuring approved standards of cleanliness is displayed.
  • Makes recommendations and suggestions to hire, promote, evaluate, reward, discipline and discharge of all EVS employees.
  • Assists in the selecting, training scheduling and evaluating of personnel.
  • Responsible for advising management of repairs and replacements necessary in assigned areas and is accountable for cleanliness and overall condition of the public areas, restrooms and offices.
  • Performs other related duties as may be required.
  • Maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • May be used as an usher as needed by management for events.
  • Performs any reasonable request made by management.
