About The Position

The EVS Manager is responsible for supporting the assistant director/director of housekeeping by administering HHS programs and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and consistency throughout all areas of the facility. This role involves preparing payroll, requisitioning, receiving, and storing supplies, issuing daily supplies to staff, assigning staff members to specific areas, and conducting daily inspections of areas to maintain a quality control program. The EVS Manager also assists management in training staff, supervises team members, performs other assigned duties, completes mandatory training, and complies with HHS Policies & Procedures. Non-compliance with duties or instructions may result in corrective action, up to and including termination.

Requirements

  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to supervise and manage other team members.
  • Possess the ability to communicate with all team members and facility personnel in English or the primary language spoken by the majority of customers and staff at the facility.
  • Must be knowledgeable of and comply with HHS policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare payroll by recording employee names, pay periods, and other necessary information on payroll sheets and filing them in the sign-in book by the end of the work day every other Friday.
  • Requisition, receive, and store supplies, and issue daily supplies to staff.
  • Prepare equipment room requisitions and submit them to the assistant director and/or director by noon each day; store supplies immediately upon receipt.
  • Provide employees with daily cleaning materials for the shift.
  • Check carts to ensure all supplies are available prior to the shift.
  • Assign staff members to specific areas, ensuring coverage of all areas with available staff.
  • Fill in to replace missing staff if all other efforts to staff areas with assigned personnel are exhausted.
  • Make daily inspections of areas and maintain a quality control program by visiting all areas during the day and completing written/computer-based reports on deficiencies.
  • Assist the assistant director and/or department director to ensure public relations/patient visitation rounds are completed.
  • Assist management in training of staff by identifying staff members in need of additional training and providing a list to the department assistant director/director.
  • Appropriately supervise team members by overseeing and coaching employees daily to identify potential problems, promote team building, and effectively manage the team.
  • Perform all other duties assigned, being a motivated supervisor who volunteers for additional duties and supports HHS practices.
  • Complete all required training and participate in voluntary training opportunities.
  • Comply with HHS Policies & Procedures.
