About The Position

The EVS I position is part of the Environmental Services team at St. Peter's Hospital. The team’s goal is to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff in keeping with the mission and philosophy of St. Peter's Health Partners. The role is part-time on the evening shift. The organization seeks an energetic candidate interested in growth and development.

Requirements

Perform housekeeping functions and duties and carry out associated responsibilities.
Demonstrate SPHP Standards of Behavior.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Complete high-school-level computational skills.
Be able to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.
Possess basic knowledge of dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean rooms by following training policies and ensuring areas, fixtures, and surfaces are cleaned daily or as assigned and in a timely manner.
Comply with infection control policies and procedures.
Maintain good working relationships and communicate with other departments, residents, families, and fellow staff; respond pleasantly to requests.
Communicate problems encountered while performing daily routines to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Perform other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Director.
