About The Position

Harbor Oaks Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper to join its Environmental Services (EVS) team at its mental health and addiction treatment facility in New Baltimore, Michigan. This is a full-time day-shift position, Monday through Friday and every other weekend, from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with some flexibility. Pay is $16.50–$18.76 per hour, based on experience. The Housekeeper performs cleaning and custodial work to maintain the facility’s cleanliness and sanitation, including disinfecting rooms and equipment, completing floor and kitchen cleaning, laundering linens, maintaining and stocking supplies, and preparing rooms for meetings and facility functions. The role follows infection control measures and requires CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification; training is available upon hire.

Requirements

CPR certification is required; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment preferred.
First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain the facility’s upkeep, sanitation, and cleanliness.
Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies using appropriate processes and germicides.
Move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens and cooking utensils and silverware, and sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors as needed.
Launder soiled linens as directed.
Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department or unit use.
Clean and store equipment and supplies properly after each shift.
Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
Stock supplies as needed.
Follow infection control measures.
