About The Position

The EVS Attendant is responsible for daily upkeep of the interior and exterior of the Casino & Resort facility while upholding Oaklawn's Core Values. The role presents a friendly and professional image at the Hotel/Casino and provides courteous, considerate service to guests and Team Members. The attendant may work in various venues throughout the property depending on business needs and follows Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort procedures and policies.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to perform the physical job duties of EVS Team Members.
• Must be able to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
• Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
• Applicants must complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping experience is a plus but not required.
• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Guest service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a team effort and accomplish related results as required.
• Mix chemicals and operate a carpet shampooer and buffer.
• Move furniture and clean assigned areas.
• Maintain and clean machines after use.
• Provide excellent guest service, treating guests and Team Members with courtesy and consideration.
• Communicate and cooperate with fellow Team Members, showing mutual respect and a positive, helpful attitude.
• Maintain working relationships with other departments, regulatory commissions, and vendors as needed.
• Work in various venues throughout the property as business needs require.
• Follow established Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort procedures and policies.
