About The Position

Responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas, including patient rooms, bathrooms, floors, and furnishings, using proper chemicals and equipment. The role includes cleaning patient furnishings and beds upon discharge according to departmental checkout procedures and standards. The associate is expected to complete assigned work within designated time frames and with little supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas daily, including bathrooms, flooring, furnishings, flat surfaces, high surfaces, and trash receptacles.
• Clean patients’ furnishings and beds upon discharge, following departmental checkout procedures and standards.
• Use proper chemicals and appropriate equipment to clean assigned areas.
• Obtain supplies and equipment at the beginning of each shift and put them away at the end of each shift.
• Maintain carts, caddies, equipment, and janitors’ closets in an orderly fashion.
• Complete assigned cleaning within designated time frames.
• Execute work with little supervision.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
