About The Position

Elevate Jet is hiring an executive to lead its entire Part 135 operation as Director of Operations under FAR Part 119 on an established certificate. The role has full P&L responsibility for flight operations across Elevate Aviation Group and Elevate Jet and is part of the Senior Leadership Team. The Director of Maintenance, Chief Pilot, and Flight Operations team report to this position. The executive serves as the primary contact for the FAA Certificate Holding District Office on audits, inspections, and certificate matters, and works with client services and charter sales to support client loyalty and revenue. The role also requires flying as a Part 135 Pilot-in-Command on international operations. Responsibilities include regulatory authority and accountability, operational safety and risk oversight, commercial performance, customer growth and retention, and AOSC duties under approved safety programs. Travel is up to 50%. Compensation is a base salary of up to $255,000 depending on experience, plus a 20% target annual bonus and commission eligibility.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience as a Director of Operations or Chief Pilot at a comparable Part 135 operation, with actual P&L ownership.
Experience running flight operations across multiple brands or business units under one certificate.
Experience building FAA relationships through audits, inspections, and certificate matters.
Experience driving customer growth and retention in aviation or another premium service environment.
Executive accountability for safety culture, regulatory standing, and financial performance.
Valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot license and first-class medical.
Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business, or a related field.
Valid U.S. driver's license and passport.
U.S. work authorization; sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

Exercise full regulatory authority and accountability as Director of Operations under FAR Part 119, including responsibility for the GOM, FAA Ops Specs, and pilot duty/rest compliance.
Manage P&L and commercial performance for Part 135 flight operations across Elevate Aviation Group and Elevate Jet.
Oversee safety culture and risk posture across the certificate, including support for Part 5 SMS.
Perform AOSC duties under the approved TFSSP and PCSSP programs.
Drive customer growth and retention outcomes for the flight operations division.
Serve as the executive point of contact for the FAA Certificate Holding District Office regarding audits, inspections, and certificate matters.
Perform as a Part 135 Pilot-in-Command on international operations.
Work in partnership with client services and charter sales to translate operational excellence into client loyalty and revenue.
Lead the Director of Maintenance, Chief Pilot, and Flight Operations team.
