About The Position

This position requires fluency in all evisceration production work on a rotation basis. The role involves performing all positions on the line in evisceration and participating as an active member of the team. Team members are expected to contribute to the ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies, coordinating work to ensure best practices. This includes attending team meetings, fostering cohesiveness, and taking responsibility for identifying and resolving issues. Familiarity with Simmons Operating Systems (quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN) is expected, along with understanding the impact of individual actions and communicating concerns or improvement ideas. The role also includes performing other duties as necessary to support business objectives. The position requires the ability to work efficiently in a plant environment, regularly standing, reaching, and moving about the facility with light to moderate physical effort. Use of waterproof footwear, gloves, apron, hearing protection, hair nets, and other protective equipment is mandatory.

Requirements

• To be fluent in all evisceration production work on a rotation basis.
• Be able to efficiently work in a plant environment.
• Regularly required to stand, reach and move about the facility.
• Light to moderate physical effort required.
• Will use waterproof footwear, gloves, apron, hearing protection, hair net(s) and other protective equipment as needed or required.
• Working knowledge of a processing facility.

• Preferred experience working around machinery.

Responsibilities

• Performs all positions on the line in evisceration.
• Participates as a member of the Team, contributing to the development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members and attends appropriate team meetings.
• Fosters strong cohesiveness regarding major issues such as direction, annual plan, budget, and policy changes.
• Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team to resolve issues.
• Maintains familiarity with Simmons Operating Systems (quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN) and understands the responsibility to support these systems.
• Communicates concerns and improvement ideas related to operating systems.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
