About The Position

The Events Team Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the setup, execution, and breakdown of church events while leading the Events Team to ensure facilities are prepared safely, efficiently, and according to event specifications. This position supports ministry activities by providing excellent customer service, maintaining operational readiness, and fostering a welcoming environment for staff, volunteers, and guests.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic computer proficiency, including email and event management or scheduling software.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, vendors, and event participants.
Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and effectively lead and train team members.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working independently in large facilities and able to respond appropriately to operational, maintenance, and security concerns.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the on-site Events Team during event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure exceptional service and operational efficiency.
Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving room setup and event-related issues, escalating concerns when necessary.
Assign daily tasks, coordinate team workflows, and prioritize responsibilities to ensure seamless event operations.
Ensure all event spaces are prepared according to event specifications, including room layouts, signage placement, furniture arrangements, and equipment setup.
Monitor team performance and provide guidance, coaching, and support to address challenges and maintain service standards.
Train and onboard new team members on event procedures, safety protocols, customer service expectations, and organizational policies.
Execute room and event setups based on instructions from the Events Manager, ministry teams, and event management software. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, arranging tables and chairs, performing basic audiovisual setup, securing and opening facilities for scheduled events, and managing lighting in event and building spaces.
Maintain accurate inventory records of event equipment, supplies, and related assets, ensuring proper storage and availability.
Deliver outstanding customer service to event hosts, guests, staff, and ministry partners while supporting the smooth operation of the campus.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, and security issues promptly to the Rooms Setup Manager or appropriate department.
Assist with custodial and facility support tasks as needed to ensure event spaces remain safe, clean, and presentable.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
