About The Position

This role is responsible for on-property event planning and execution, providing on-property sales support for MSB property General Managers, and completing administrative duties. The Events Specialist serves as the primary point-of-contact for guests organizing and attending meeting events at the property to ensure their end-to-end experience operates smoothly. They also act as the primary point of contact for the Group Sales Office and Area Sales teams. Additionally, the role involves collecting, developing, and submitting content to update property websites on Marriott.com. Administrative duties are delegated at the discretion of property General Managers. The position requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and welcoming guests according to company standards. It also involves anticipating and addressing guest needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation. Communication skills are essential, including speaking clearly and professionally, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately, and answering telephones with appropriate etiquette. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and responding appropriately to guest concerns are also key aspects of the role. The job requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by Supervisors.
