About The Position

The Manager of Retail and Events is responsible for organizing lead-generating retail and consumer events in 3 Markets: Philadelphia, New York & New Jersey. This role involves identifying retail and event opportunities, developing scripts and collateral, and managing retail and event staff, including their hours and productivity. The manager will identify and schedule events such as Home Shows and State Fairs, staffing them with a team to generate quality appointments for the sales force. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, teaching, and coaching a team of promoters through consistent field visits to retail partners and events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of promoters to generate leads for the sales force across retail partnerships & events.
  • Manages the execution and logistics of retail shows and exhibitions, including set-up, break-down and transportation of the display/space, promotional items, literature, scripts and other details.
  • Interview, hire, train, teach, coach & evaluate promoters to achieve PJ Fitz company standards.
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels to hit budget goals. Work closely with recruiting to ensure the number of interviews needed to stay staffed.
  • Develop promoters’ schedules to hit goals. Schedules are to always be 2 weeks out.
  • Consistent visits to promoters within retail & events spaces to coach, train, shadow and inspect what is expected in the field.
