About The Position

Events Manager – The Hollywood Roosevelt Los Angeles, CA | Full‑Time | Exempt At The Hollywood, we believe unforgettable experiences are created through exceptional planning, seamless execution, and genuine hospitality. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Manager to join our team and serve as a key liaison between our clients and hotel operations. This role is responsible for managing assigned sales and catering groups from contract through execution and final billing, ensuring every event exceeds expectations while maximizing revenue opportunities.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hotel event planning or sales and catering experience.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident communicating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable resolving issues with professionalism and efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automated sales and catering systems such as Opera PMS and Opera Sales & Catering.
  • A bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of event servicing, including preparing banquet event orders (BEOs), resumes, and event documentation.
  • Coordinate room blocks and ensure flawless communication between departments.
  • Act as the onsite point of contact for events.
  • Conduct site inspections.
  • Manage function space optimization.
  • Participate in daily business reviews.
  • Build strong client relationships before, during, and after events.
  • Manage assigned sales and catering groups from contract through execution and final billing.
