About The Position

This position is in a shared office space and is a primarily in-person position located at 104 Southeastern Parkway, Franklin, TN 37064. Remote work will be scheduled in advance with the approval of the director. The standard hours for this position will fall between Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm. Occasional weekend or holiday work may be required. The Event Manager supports GraceWorks Ministries' goals, values, and philosophy by consistently demonstrating excellence, quality service, commitment, and accountability. POSITION SUMMARY The Events Manager will lead the logistical planning and execution for three key fundraising events: Neighbor Serving Neighbor Dinner, Golf Fore GraceWorks, and the Turkey Trot. They will also assist in smaller events including the Church Appreciation Breakfast and others as assigned.

5 years + experience with events
Bachelor's degree
Experience and a high degree of comfort with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Google Suite.
Understanding/acquaintance with task and project management applications/concepts.
Knowledge of Salesforce Nonprofit CRM or other related systems.
Motivated, energetic self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an appreciation for accuracy.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Developed organizational skills, including excellent time and self-management skills

Responsibilities

Manage planning and execution for the three key fundraising events (Neighbor Serving Neighbor Dinner, Golf Fore GraceWorks, and Turkey Trot) and smaller events as assigned, including annual and week-of timelines, packing lists, locations, permits, and coordination with all internal departments.
Secure and manage vendors and contracts, identify volunteer needs, and lead day-of volunteers and staff.
Track expenses and bid out each service to multiple vendors.
Execute promised sponsorship promotions, ensure sponsors are welcomed, informed, thanked, and told of post-event results, and look for above-and-beyond ways to make them feel valued. Partner with the Director of Development.
Create fundraising timelines and communication schedules so Development Team fundraisers know what to share and when, and ensure sponsor deliverables are met.
Track sponsorship targets, pledges, and gifts in the database, and build reports and dashboards comparing current-year metrics to prior years. Work with the Salesforce team and Director of Development to ensure accurate data.
Articulate needs for print, social media, email, webpages, giving links, and press releases, and set a marketing schedule for each event with the Marketing Department and Director of Development.
Partner with Marketing, the Director of Development, and the CEO to create and gather program content for each event.
Lead event committees as needed (agendas, meetings, expectations) and host post-event debriefs to capture successes and changes for next year.
Attend Development Team meetings, react to change productively, and handle all other duties and essential tasks assigned.
Manage volunteers at events and work with Volunteer Recruitment Manager to schedule them, supervise vendors for events.
