About The Position

The Events Lead role at Jesuit Social Services works within the Advocacy and Strategic Communications Directorate to design and deliver a range of activities to enhance the organisation's reputation as a thought leader and strengthen relationships with stakeholders. The size, scope, and strategic intent of events vary from large annual events such as the Annual Dinner through to webinars for report launches and intimate events for major donors. The Events Lead is an integral role reporting to the Director Advocacy and Strategic Communications and working closely with the Policy, Media, Communications, and Fundraising teams to design and deliver engaging events to support strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering successful events that support fundraising, communication and advocacy goals, including launches, webinars, stakeholder events, employee events, and large supporter events (up to 450 people).
  • Demonstrated experience writing and producing quality event products and associated communications including promotional materials, invitations, blurbs, speaker bios, agendas, briefs, and social media content.
  • Demonstrated experience managing internal and external stakeholders including liaising with government departments, guest speakers and VIPs.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with leadership and colleagues to identify event goals and deliver high quality outcomes in line with strategic intent.
  • Superior organisation and time management skills to plan and deliver events and associated communications and engagement.
