About The Position

Gracious Hospitality Management is seeking an Events Intern to perform operational, analytical, and administrative tasks for the Group Dining Sales & Events department. The intern will act as a liaison between the Event team, clients, and vendors, supporting event planning and operations, producing invoices and reports, and ensuring project deadlines are met.

Requirements

Extensive experience in creating documents and spreadsheets using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint and Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
Effective communicator of information in writing and visually.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage internal and external correspondence.
Advanced typing, note-taking, recordkeeping, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of GHM brand, culture, and product.
Available to work weekends, nights, and holidays as the business dictates.
Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Reports to the Director of Events and Events Manager.
Assists with events planning, administration, operations, financial analysis, and market research.
Liaises with clients on event details.
Communicates event details to Operations and Culinary teams and supports in set up, execution, and client follow up and event close out.
Attends meetings and takes minutes.
Types, formats, and edits reports, documents, and presentations. Print all menus, place cards, cocktail cards and other materials as necessary for all events.
Inventories event supplies & materials. Place orders as directed.
Enters data, maintains databases, and keeps records.
Schedules appointments, maintains event calendars, sends reminders, and performs other administrative organizational tasks.
