About The Position

The Education and Events Lead is a food enthusiast who passionately engages guests in Eataly’s mission through events and educational programming. Reports to the Education & Events Manager. Executes public and private in-person events including: specialized cooking/wine/food knowledge classes, group reservations, press events, tastings and private receptions. Supervises staff members during events to ensure smooth execution. Writes and monitors class descriptions; compiles instructor biographies, Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) and sales contracts; creates class registration pages online. Communicates with guests regarding class and event registration. Fosters accountability in departments and interdepartmental collaboration when planning events. Builds and manages client lists and relationships. Updates event needs including recipe cards, creating posters, department inventory, etc. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in restaurant operations, sales management, marketing or event planning
  • Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Outstanding professional communication and editorial skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Italian wine and gastronomy
  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Italian language preferred
