The Hands On Children’s Museum is seeking an experienced full-time Events and Development Manager to manage a range of special events designed for visitors, donors, and the community. This role involves partnering with the Development Director to execute the annual fundraising plan and strategy, developing and implementing strategies to retain and grow sponsorship support, and coordinating with various museum departments and external partners to manage museum events. The position requires managing all phases of event planning, from concept to evaluation, including budgeting, logistics, communications, staffing, and on-site management. The role also involves preparing and monitoring budgets, providing post-event financial analysis, aligning event strategies with fundraising objectives, managing auction items, stewarding sponsors, negotiating with vendors, and collaborating with the Communications team on promotional materials. The Events and Development Manager will also prepare advance sheets, serve as the on-site point of contact during events, and complete post-event wrap-up, including evaluations and financial reconciliation.
