Events Contractor-Speaker Management

About The Position
Due to continued growth, we are looking to hire 2-3 experienced Speaker Management contractors to support national conferences during the upcoming 2026/2027 event season. Contracts will run from Sept/Oct through April/May. This role involves creating a polished, high-touch speaker experience from initial outreach through event execution.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with conference speakers, content teams, or event operations
- Open to a 6-8 month contract
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned speakers throughout the planning process and onsite experience.
- Support speakers with session preparation, scheduling, deadlines, presentation collection, and logistics coordination.
- Coordinate and track speaker deliverables including bios, headshots, presentations, agreements, and related materials.
- Partner with internal teams including content, registration, housing, AV/production, and client leads to ensure a seamless speaker experience.
- Maintain accurate speaker tracking documents and provide regular status updates on deliverables and outstanding items.
- Develop and manage speaker communications, reminders, and deadline-driven outreach.
- Assist with onsite speaker management including speaker ready rooms, session support, schedule changes, and escalations as needed.
- Help create a polished, high-touch speaker experience from initial outreach through event execution.
