About The Position

The Harvey A. Friedman Center for Aging at WashU is a university-wide center that works with internal and external partners. This position works in collaboration with the Friedman Center Manager to provide support for events, programming and communications. This includes working with the Manager to develop, plan and implement the Center’s monthly, yearly and one-off events as well as all Center communications.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with managing the planning and implementation of all Center events; Works with Center team to coordinate annual lectures, seminars, other public events, and regular workgroups and meetings.
  • Works with supervisor to ensure integration of Center’s efforts into larger university missions and identifies opportunities for collaboration across centers, departments, and schools.
  • Serves as a liaison for the Center with internal university departments and organizations outside of the university.
  • Represents the Center at internal and external meetings and other functions; Works with Center team to implement communication plans and develop content to communicate effectively with Center audiences; develops new and maintains positive and effective relationships with partners.
  • Supports the implementation of educational programs, workshops, and seminars relevant to the Center’s mission, including input on content and structure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
