About The Position

We’re seeking friendly, polished bartenders to join our private Events team. Founded in 2020, Events by Olive + Oak is the events and private dining arm of the O+O Hospitality Group. Our vision is to service events with a restaurant touch, offering uniquely crafted food and beverage menus for each client’s needs while providing unparalleled hospitality throughout. Given the nature of the events world, applicants should be comfortable with menus that change regularly, variation in venue set-up, and accommodating unique beverage requests from hosts and guests. Flexibility, professionalism, and a positive attitude are key. Daytime and nighttime hours are both available, and we ideally prefer our team members to work a mixture of both. Weekend availability is strongly preferred for this position. However, we do accommodate student schedules.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of event beverage menus, specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic offerings
• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of venue, including food and beverage areas.
• Requires mobility, prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
• Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Must be able to tolerate varying levels of stress, temperature, illumination, air quality, and fatigue.
• Heavy customer contact required.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time to complete necessary bar prep tasks
• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and attend line-up meetings to prepare for successful event execution
• Provide exceptional hospitality and attentive beverage service at all times
• Prepare cocktails, pour beer and wine, and execute beverage service accurately and efficiently
• Communicate inventory needs, guest requests, or service concerns to Event Management
• Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready bar throughout service
• Assist fellow team members when needed to support smooth event execution
• Follow responsible alcohol service standards and uphold all company and legal alcohol service requirements
• Perform light side-work duties, breakdown, and bar clean-up after service
