About The Position

To serve New Life Church North campus with excellence by providing events set-up and tear-down services. This role involves preparing and maintaining various campus spaces for events, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for guests, and performing general cleaning and maintenance duties. The position requires a servant's heart, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints. Job duties may be performed in various environments, including office, classroom, multi-purpose rooms, kitchens, storage areas, and outdoors in any season. Use of ladders, carts, dollies, and hand-trucks may be required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required for full-time positions.
  • Ability to follow a routine weekly schedule and complete assigned duties in a timely manner.
  • Ability to read and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetical functions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

  • Must be able to withstand occasional periods of commercial cleaning product exposure to skin and/or respiratory system, sometimes in closed areas.
  • Moderate to considerable physical activity; requires handling of objects up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, climbing ladders, bending, and squatting, crawling in tight spaces, and use of protective equipment.
  • Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Responsibilities

  • Perform set-up and tear-down of classrooms and multi-purpose rooms, including tables, chairs, podiums, whiteboards, and other furniture or accessories.
  • Clean and disinfect tables and chairs in preparation for events.
  • Move furniture and equipment into and out of buildings.
  • Remove and dispose of all trash from buildings.
  • Open and close facilities according to reservation requests and campus calendar, monitoring lights, heat, and air conditioning.
  • Coordinate guest needs and interact with event participants.
  • Perform snow removal by operating necessary equipment.
  • Respond to fire or security alarms.
  • Run off-campus errands as requested.
  • Assist with traffic control in the parking lot as requested.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, carpet scrubbers, extractors, Kaivac, and power washers.
  • Perform general church cleaning duties, including vacuuming, waste removal, carpet shampooing, dusting, and cleaning of various surfaces and fixtures.
  • Clean all restrooms, including toilets, walls, lavatories, mirrors, and dispensers, and restock products as needed.
  • Mop floors and spot-clean walls.
  • Stock and maintain cleaning supplies inventories.
  • Inspect facilities, note maintenance and repair needs, and fill out Task Requests.
  • Perform special projects as requested.
  • Advance the Kingdom of God by representing Christ at all times in thought, action, and speech.
  • Demonstrate ongoing financial support of the ministries of New Life Church.
  • Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and additional meetings as required.
  • Cooperate with the Director of Hospitality, Team Leaders, and Reservations Department by performing any other duties when asked.
