  • Highly organized and calendar-driven, capable of managing multiple events at different stages concurrently with a monthly appeal rhythm.
  • Warm and steady interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with hosts, volunteers, vendors, families, and donors, and adept at making fundraising asks.
  • Clear and warm writing skills.
  • Proficiency with donor databases (e.g., Bloomerang, Raiser's Edge NXT, or comparable).
  • Ability to travel, work some evenings and weekends as needed for events, and spend a portion of each summer at the camps in Michigan and New Hampshire.
  • Commitment to AYF's mission and to the experience of its constituents.

Responsibilities

  • Produce approximately four cultivation dinners annually in various cities, managing all aspects from venue and invitations to day-of execution and follow-up.
  • Lead the Donald Danforth Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament, overseeing sponsorships, auction, venue, volunteers, and the event day.
  • Travel to Miniwanca (Michigan) and Merrowvista (New Hampshire) during the summer to produce the NOSTOS capstone events and parent days in collaboration with camp directors.
  • Maintain a unified engagement calendar for the St. Louis office and both camps, and support open houses and Regional Action Network events with volunteer leads.
  • Manage the Annual Fund, including renewal and lapsed-donor outreach, the appeal calendar, email and mail appeals, and the end-of-year direct mail campaign.
  • Write acknowledgement letters and stewardship communications for new, recurring, and legacy donors.
  • Track Annual Fund results monthly and identify donors with capacity beyond the Annual Fund for referral to the Director of Development.
  • Record all event and donor interactions in the database to ensure captured insights are retained.
