About The Position

Shootday is seeking talented event videographers in New Haven for paid freelance assignments. Assignments may include corporate functions, product launches, and social gatherings. Videographers use their own professional equipment, adapt their approach to each event, and may collaborate with other videographers. Assignments are paid per job, and videographers have complete scheduling control and may accept or decline work based on availability.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event videography with a strong portfolio.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Ability to work in different environments and across different event types.
• Reliable transportation to event locations.
• Strong technical skills with videography equipment.
• Ability to work well with others when needed.
• A videography degree or equivalent experience.
• Located in or able to commute to New Haven.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Own and maintain videography equipment, such as video stabilizers (gimbals) and high-quality microphones.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality raw video footage on time; Shootday handles editing.
• Cover events such as corporate functions, product launches, and social gatherings.
• Capture key moments, candid shots, and the ambiance of each event.
• Adapt filming methods to each event’s unique needs.
• Collaborate with other videographers when needed.
• Use professional camera equipment, including cameras, lenses, video stabilizers (gimbals), and high-quality microphones.
• Guide participants and set up shots to achieve the best results.
• Communicate effectively with clients and the Shootday team.
