The Event Technician supports MD Anderson’s extended campus by delivering high-quality event and audio-visual services as part of the Event Services department within Facilities Administration. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and teardown of event spaces, including audio, video, web conferencing, computer labs, and multimedia systems, while ensuring adherence to safety, ADA, and operational standards. The Event Technician works closely with clients, faculty, and staff to provide outstanding customer service, clear communication, and technical guidance. Additionally, the position oversees inventory control, preventative maintenance, and supports evolving event technologies to meet the institution’s growing needs. This role blends technical expertise with customer-facing service in a mission-driven healthcare setting. The position supports a wide variety of conference meetings and events, requiring versatility and strong problem-solving skills.
