About The Position

Goldenvoice is hiring Event Staff for their Los Angeles venues: The Fonda Theatre, El Rey Theatre, and The Roxy Theatre. Positions include Guest Services, Security, Porters, Audio Technician, Lighting Technician, Video Technician, and Stagehands. A job fair will be held on Sunday, July 26th, 2026, from 11 am to 3 pm at The Fonda Theatre. Applicants are encouraged to apply online and indicate their attendance at the job fair or if they wish to be contacted for an interview if unable to attend. Walk-ins are welcome on the day of the event.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience (2-4 years for Production roles)
  • Ability to work in varying conditions
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance (Guest Services)
  • Positive attitude with superior customer service skills (Guest Services)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time (Guest Services)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (Security)
  • Expert organizational, leadership and time management skills (Security)
  • Ability to qualify and be issued a security officer license (Security)
  • Must be able to work long hours including nights, weekends and some holidays (Security)
  • CPR and AED certification (Security)

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary provider of direct services to guests, ensuring a safe environment.
  • Answer guest questions, direct guests to important areas, and provide assistance.
  • Operate coat check rooms.
  • Scan tickets for entry and administer applicable wristbands.
  • Greet guests and resolve complaints, escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Monitor guest conduct to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Monitor alcohol consumption to ensure responsible service and prevent underage drinking.
  • Seat guests and assist ADA patrons.
  • Enforce all policies and procedures of the venue.
  • Complete all company and venue required trainings and participate in employee meetings.
  • Act as a member of the emergency evacuation team.
  • Monitor venue during guest arrival and exit to comply with fire department safety regulations.
  • Maintain the safety of all employees, guests, and clients through constant patrol, observation, and documentation.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all security-related issues and control incident diffusion.
  • Assist with customer service requests.
  • Monitor assigned area of venue on foot.
  • Observe, report, and control ongoing activity, keeping track of unusual occurrences.
  • Assist with the ejection or control of unruly, disruptive, or intoxicated guests.
  • Monitor entry and access points for the venue.
  • Ensure all guests and employees have appropriate access to each specific area.
  • Escort artists, VIPs, guests, and employees to protect and prevent unwanted attention, disruption, incident, or injury.
  • Respond immediately to fire control center to locate, acknowledge, and silence alarms.
  • Check signal area, report, and reset alarms.
  • Enact fire safety/evacuations when necessary.
  • Respond, observe, and document all medical situations and request EMT/medical personnel.
  • Assist with minor first aid situations.
  • Coordinate transportation for friends and family of afflicted individuals when necessary.
  • Assist with all customer service needs before, during, and after each show.
  • Screen and confirm all employees, vendors, delivery personnel, guests, and artists entering the venue.
  • Review and verify documentation to ensure validity.
  • Log all activity, movement, and repairs in appropriate logs, ensuring all incidents are accurately documented.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of all areas of the venue, including the main floor, mezzanine, backstage, bathrooms, bars, etc.
  • Responsible for basic building upkeep and maintenance, including changing lightbulbs, basic light construction tasks, painting, restocking cleaning supplies, and more as needed.
  • Perform post-event cleaning according to procedures and cleaning routines.
  • Perform maintenance as needed, including changing lightbulbs, painting, light construction, and repair.
  • Restock and reorder supplies as needed, manifest and report large-scale repair needs.
  • Inspect assigned work area prior to and during the event, looking for safety hazards, facility issues, housekeeping needs, and personal injuries.
  • Assist in all areas of production for venue events.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for shows, communicating with staff, vendors, security, and artist management.
  • Coordinate and advance production needs and requirements for all shows.
  • Oversee all stage and technical needs, including lighting, sound, A/V, equipment, and venue maintenance.
  • Responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of the venue lighting system.
  • Operate lights during shows, configuring color and tone to ensure the artist’s vision and mood are achieved.
  • Responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of the venue sound system.
  • Operate the sound system during shows and confirm that microphones and speakers are functioning.
  • Serve as back-up for A/V and PA systems.
  • Responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of the A/V system.
  • Maintain the public announcement system in optimal working condition.
  • Operate PA during shows if the Sound Engineer is absent.
  • Perform venue maintenance, including lighting, sound, stage, and equipment.
  • Responsible for stage maintenance: sweep, mop, paint touch-ups on flooring as needed, and buff and paint the entire floor once a year.
  • Responsible for the setup and breakdown of equipment on stage.
  • Load/unload equipment from trucks and set up equipment according to stage design, ensuring safety requirements are met.
  • May be responsible for production and operations aspects, including vendor end-to-end onsite setup.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between vendors, artists, sound crews, and property management companies in the execution of shows and events.
  • Perform all setup before, during, and after events, including assembling and disassembling production equipment on stage.
  • Work closely with and assist carpenters with scenery build, installation, video, sound, and light production.
  • Responsible for assembling and setting up at the beginning of the scene (e.g., props, microphones, musical instruments, scenery).
  • Disassemble and remove equipment at the end of the scene and clean up the stage and backstage area after performances.
  • Load and unload equipment from trucks and set up equipment according to stage design, ensuring safety requirements are met.
  • Assist carpenters with scenery build and installation of stage maintenance, construct and paint set pieces, move and rearrange furniture.
  • Work closely with electricians and lighting assistants with maintenance of video, sound, and light production.
  • Ensure operations of systems are functioning properly.
