The Event Setup Assistant is responsible for the physical setup, maintenance, and breakdown of event spaces while ensuring equipment is safely handled, transported, stored, and inventoried. This position requires strength, physical endurance, and the ability to perform demanding manual labor in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. This role involves the frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy tables, chairs, staging, risers, and other event equipment. The successful candidate must be comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and safety. Because the museum opens to the public at 10:00 AM, post-event breakdown and room reset activities in public areas must be completed before opening to ensure all guest spaces are clean, organized, and ready for visitors.
