About The Position
We are Shinesty, a company that creates outlandish clothing and aims to make people laugh. We are looking for confident, extroverted individuals to represent our brand at our booth during the Minnesota State Fair. This role involves not only selling merchandise but also engaging customers, gathering crowds, and acting as a hype-person for the Shinesty brand.
Requirements
- Retail, event, or direct sales experience with a proven track record of meeting goals.
- Extroverted personality, enjoys crowds, and does not take themselves too seriously.
- Willingness to stand for long periods, handle various weather conditions, and work long weekend hours.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to take ownership of their responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
Responsibilities
- Hooking in foot traffic, pitching our gear, and closing sales.
- Engaging customers with a smile, a joke, and a positive attitude.
- Handling booth setup, teardown, and keeping merchandise organized and restocked.
- Acting as a hype-person for the Shinesty brand.
Benefits
- 1099 Contractor role (no employee benefits)
- $20/hour + 5% commission on sales
