About The Position

The Event Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event execution, from initial client contact to post-event breakdown. This role involves managing event setup, coordinating with kitchen and food service teams, ensuring smooth event flow, and handling internal event planning. Additionally, the manager will be involved in creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training staff, and acting as a resource for HR/Payroll, including facilitating job interviews and communicating new hire information.

Responsibilities

  • Meet the event contact immediately to introduce yourself as the Event Lead and address any questions, requests, or concerns.
  • Conduct pre-event line-ups to review timeline, menu, staff assignments, and execution expectations.
  • Oversee and assist in the setup of event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, flatware, glassware, and food/buffet stations.
  • Oversee the breakdown of event spaces, including clean-up and proper storage of event equipment.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and food service team to ensure proper food execution and service, maintaining communication regarding timeline and service changes.
  • Maintain presence on the floor to ensure events flow smoothly and without incident.
  • Attend weekly BEO meetings.
  • Schedule all Gathering Events for all Locations: The Rock, Barrel Room, Rod & Hammer Distillery, and The Carissa.
  • Create, train, and ensure accountability for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Act as a resource to HR/Payroll.
  • Facilitate and participate in job interviews.
  • Communicate with Payroll/HR about new hires.
  • Plan, finalize, and execute internal events such as block parties, festivals, and specialty chef’s dinners.
  • Communicate event details in advance for consumer marketing and internal planning.
  • Build BEOs and distribute information to vendors, guests, and staff.
