About The Position

Code2College is seeking a Part-Time Event Operations Manager to support its mission of increasing the number of minority and low-income high school students who enter and excel in STEM undergraduate majors and careers. This role is based in Austin, Texas, requires regular travel throughout the Central Texas area, and is available immediately. The Part-Time Event Operations Manager will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing Code2College events, from pre-event logistics and vendor coordination through day-of execution. This position will also support asset delivery and other operational needs to ensure programs and events run smoothly, contributing to the organization's impact nationwide. This is a hands-on role for an organized, resourceful, and solutions-oriented individual comfortable managing event details. The role involves working across internal teams, corporate partners, vendors, and other stakeholders to coordinate logistics and deliver a high-quality experience.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and coordination of Code2College events, including small- to medium-sized events serving approximately 100 to 300 guests.
  • Develop event run-of-show documents and other event planning materials.
  • Manage event logistics from permits and invoices to external communications, timelines, materials, and all the details in between.
  • Identify, engage, and negotiate with external vendors and service providers.
  • Support day-of event execution, including facilitating and/or leading events as needed.
  • Train and coordinate corporate partner employee volunteers.
  • Troubleshoot logistical issues and ensure events run smoothly and provide a high level of customer service to partners, volunteers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Make storage and asset runs for the team, including deliveries of technology, assembly of packages for students, and gathering promotional materials for conferences and events.
  • Run general operational errands such as FedEx drop-offs, fulfillment center pickups, deliveries, and other time-sensitive logistics.
  • Maintain organization and order within the storage facility and identify, communicate, and help resolve inventory needs or concerns.
  • Support sales, business development, and/or fundraising activities as appropriate.
  • Take on other operational and event-related responsibilities as needed.

  • Hourly rate range of $20 - $40 per hour
