Requirements

  • Availability is required on an ad-hoc and as-needed basis, including weekdays and weekends, depending on private event scheduling and business needs.
  • Private event work may be periodic and irregular, and no minimum number of shifts or hours is guaranteed.
  • Availability may be required during standard business hours as well as evenings, weekends, and for special or one-off events.
  • The role requires the ability to travel between locations, event venues, and storage locations, sometimes on short notice.
  • Effective time management skills, organised, detail-oriented, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to resolving challenges.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including throughout the duration of events.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive motions as required during event setup, execution, and breakdown.
  • Comfortable working with standard cleaning supplies and solutions, following proper safety and handling guidelines.
  • Ability to work in environments with moderate noise levels, animals present, and high guest interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to and from designated storage units as required to collect, transport, return, and organize supplies and equipment for private events.
  • Manage, unpack, organize, and maintain inventory and supplies for private events, including lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Ensure the location(s) are always presentable and ready to host experiences, with supplies neatly organized and put away in a strategic manner.
  • Perform puppy cleaning duties, provide nourishment, and offer care to puppies throughout the day.
  • Be attentive to puppy safety and guide the guests with helping them to handle the puppies properly.
  • Perform guest check-in, including ID verification and waiver completion and provide support during event speeches.
  • Conduct the pre-event speech and serve beverages during sessions as needed.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of injury reporting, including documentation and communication with Private Event Supervisor or Operations Manager.
  • Ensure accurate completion of Animal Welfare, Studio Inventory, and End-of-Day report forms to communicate any needs, issues, feedback, or remarks from the day's events.
  • Follow the Private Event Supervisor’s lead for emergency procedures and maintain familiarity with emergency plans and safety protocols.
  • Follow proper escalation channels with customer service, animal welfare, and safety incidents.
  • Exercise sound judgment in determining when to resolve issues independently versus when escalation is required, ensuring timely communication with the Private Event Supervisor and Operations Manager for decisions outside the Facilitator’s authority.
  • Responsible for protecting Puppy Sphere assets by following procedures and policies for safety, security, maintenance, and cleanliness.
  • Maintain open and timely communication with the Private Event Supervisor and Operations Manager throughout private events to promptly address any disruptions or issues.
  • Exude Puppy Sphere’s core values creating a positive, collaborative, and supportive culture and environment, adhering to Puppy Sphere’s standard of operational excellence.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with colleagues, guests, clients, vendors, and animal welfare partners, acting as a representative of Puppy Sphere to exemplify our values and standards.
