Event Content

MeterSan Francisco, CA

About The Position

Events are one of Meter's highest-leverage channels. When Meter is able to share our story in front of a live audience, it’s the moment we win over IT teams and network engineers. It’s the moment Meter stops being a no name vendor and starts being a no-brainer. We’re looking for someone to own and develop the content for every Meter event. This role involves defining the narrative for regional roadshows and flagship user conferences, building scalable content playbooks, and refining messaging based on feedback to ensure events are impactful growth levers.

Requirements

  • Led content strategy for major events before, not just individual sessions or decks, but the whole program.
  • Knows what it takes to hold a narrative together across multiple formats, audiences, and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in a strategy doc and in a room with leadership, pushing back on a talking point that isn't landing.
  • Builds systems that scale.
  • Translates deeply technical topics into very clear and concise terms that can win over practitioners and non-technical audiences.
  • Led content strategy for flagship conferences, roadshows, or multi-track programs that are revenue drivers for the business.
  • Experience with content, event, field, solutions, or product marketing, owning high-stakes, multi-stakeholder work.
  • Comfortable working with executives: shaping keynotes, refining messaging.
  • Sees events not just as moments, but as a strategic growth lever.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in parallel.
  • Proactive and autonomous, able to navigate ambiguity, identify blockers early, and drive toward decisions that keep programs moving.

Responsibilities

  • Define the narrative for Circuit, our regional road show (keynotes, breakouts, demos, and experiential moments).
  • Lead the content agenda for MeterUp, our flagship user conference.
  • Build the playbook: speaker intake, narrative development, approval workflows, and post-event distribution templates.
  • Build a feedback loop from sales, partners, and attendees to make every event sharper.
  • Outline the narrative arc for MeterUp’s opening keynote and workshop it with an executive.
  • Turn a complex product launch into a live demo or physical experience.
  • Create templates, workflows, and review processes for event content scalability.
  • Gather feedback from sales, partners, and attendees to continuously refine messaging.
  • Project manage all moving pieces of event content (main stage sessions, activations, demos, and experiential moments).
