About The Position

Assembles, delivers, sets up, and serves food and beverages to guests at on-premise and off-premise events. The position includes preparing event spaces and buffet displays, serving guests, maintaining clean work areas and equipment, and completing event closeout tasks. The role is located at Intuit Credit Karma, 1100 Broadway Street, Oakland, California. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; further details are provided during the interview. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Pay is $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Must meet applicable state and local health requirements for food handlers.

Nice To Haves

• Previous catering experience is preferred; training is available.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
• Arrange tables and decorations.
• Set buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to established standards.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, including plated dinners and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Open wine and take drink orders; respond to guest requests for beverages, appetizers, and other needs.
• Clean and pack dishes and utensils, and return unserved food, beverages, equipment, and utensils to the Commissary.
• Ensure display foods are attractively merchandised and served according to established standards.
• Handle food appropriately during preparation and keep display equipment clean during service.
• Thoroughly clean the workstation before leaving for other assignments.
• Assist with food and table preparation before events.
• Clean the venue after events and assist with inventory, food storage, and other closeout tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
