About The Position

Indigo Road is seeking a friendly, energetic, and experienced individual to manage our private events spaces. This individual will work closely with the Corporate Director of Sales, GM and Chef ensuring the private events are serviced promptly and are in line with IRHG standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years in Hospitality Industry Sales Positions
  • Minimum 3+ years in Sales Leadership Positions
  • Minimum 2+ years of Tripleseat Use
  • Tripleseat knowledge
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service, generally involving at least 2+ years of front of house restaurant experience and/or banquet/event positions
  • Highly energetic and motivated individual
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships, motivate and manage others
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive, productive relationships with local and regional event planners, vendors, hotels, and prospective clients.
  • Represent The Indigo Hospitality Group with professionalism and integrity at local networking, industry and special events.
  • Solicit and promote special event business through advertising, cold calling, contacting past customers, relationships with local businesses, wedding planners, and other cost effective activities.
  • Keep neighborhood relationships in good standing.
  • Lead the team in event set up when necessary.
  • Develop, implement and modify the sales action plan to meet annual goals.
  • Submit a weekly recap of solicitation calls, pending contracts, booked contracts.
  • Generate monthly revenue reports for investors, distributed quarterly.
  • Answer all inquiries for business within 48 hours. Follow up both before and after, for the first inquiry all the way through event completion. Write thank you notes to clients.
  • Schedule site visits/tours with potential clients and event planners and when possible, meet with walk in prospective clients to show and describe the properties.
  • Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
  • Secure contracts, deposits, billing information and final payment within required time frame. Responsible for all financial aspects of the file through event completion and tracking in Reserve.
  • After booking an event, set a meeting to turn over the event captain and coordinate an introduction between the Client and event captain.
  • Attend weekly manager meeting and weekly BEO meeting.
  • Work side by side with the PR & Marketing team to contribute to marketing strategies and provide new revenue generating ideas.
  • Work with the graphic design team to create venue brochures, one sheets, social media graphics and other printed materials.
  • Oversee social media outlets (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest) through pre event day, day of and post event photo posts, news and announcements.
  • Oversee website content and work with the Webmaster to update accordingly.
  • Work with the executive chef, the executive pastry chef, and the beverage director to draft and update catering menus and pricing.
  • Inn keeping shared responsibilities to include but not limited to covering inn keeper duties when the inn keeper is off to provide support along with the restaurant management team.
