About The Position

The Event Captain partners closely with the Event Producer and other internal HMC staff to bring clients' visions of all shapes and sizes to life. Whether it's a wedding, a corporate gala, or intimate dinner party. Responsibilities include managing the event the day of. You'll meet with the Event Producer to form a deep understanding of the vision for the event and you'll partner will all HMC team members and vendor contacts to execute that vision beautifully.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of off-premise catering experience
  • 2 years of hospitality experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Deep passion for food, and hospitality

Responsibilities

  • Managing the event the day of.
  • Meeting with the Event Producer to form a deep understanding of the vision for the event.
  • Partnering with all HMC team members and vendor contacts to execute the event vision.
  • Ensuring you have the appropriate number of teammates to staff the event.
  • Sending out emails and reminders to the staff.
  • Partnering with HMC teammates, vendor representatives, and relevant clients to execute a smooth, successful event.

  • Meeting with the Event Producer to understand the details for each event.
  • Working with the staffing coordinator to ensure you have the necessary talent to run the event.

  • Shifting back and forth between tasks and people, personalities.
  • Assisting with event set up and break down as necessary.
