About The Position

The Event Bartender is responsible for serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages within Club facilities and private event venues as needed. This role may assist Clubhouse servers by taking menu orders seated at the bar. No supervisory duties are included in this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience tending bar, mixing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Skill in the use of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and mechanics.
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and to work independently.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in highly fluid and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse audience.
  • Ability to work with a team and interact with others in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Stock Farm Club and member and guest information.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and image of the Stock Farm Club.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess current TIPS training or be able to complete such training within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be able to pass employment background check and motor vehicle record checks.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana; must be insurable under the company’s auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work variable schedule or irregular hours to include last-minute scheduling needs/changes and working split shifts based on needs of the Club operations and scheduled events.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekday, weekend, and evening/late evening hours as required.
  • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions as needed and to walk on uneven ground.
  • Ability to perform same-day travel on Stock Farm Property and within local geographic region.
  • General physical activities.
  • Work involves standing for long periods of time; lifting; balancing; stooping; reaching; bending; and safely lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience in tending bar, mixing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Experience in a private club or fine dining environment.
  • Experience with Club Essentials point-of-sale system.

Responsibilities

  • Greets members and guests.
  • Prepares and serves beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
  • Sets up bar in Club facility or event venue following Club procedures and standards.
  • Prepares garnishes, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks.
  • Checks identification of members/guests to verify age requirements for the purchase and consumption of alcohol.
  • Mixes, prepares and serves drinks according to the recipes approved by the Food & Beverage management team.
  • Collects checks/payments for beverages and/or menu items served at the bar; ensures appropriate billing to member/guest charge accounts.
  • Maintains clean bar area and equipment.
  • Reports all concerns and complaints to Food & Beverage management team.
  • Cleans and locks up bar area/event venue according to Club procedure.
  • May take member/guest menu orders; may assist Clubhouse servers as needed in delivering menu items to members/guests.
  • May use Club vehicles to transport supplies, sundries, and similar in support of bar and event operations.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.
