About The Position
The hour wage Event Assistant will provide support and assistance to the Director and staff of the Hahn Horticulture Garden with a focus on event coordination.
Requirements
- Good communication skills and outstanding customer service
- Extremely reliable, self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented
- Willing to work late nights and weekends, depending on event schedule, oftentimes without supervision
- Enthusiastic and professional
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Experience with computer programs, especially Microsoft Office software
Nice To Haves
- Experience with event planning and coordination
- Experience working with diverse clientele
Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment and coordination of events
- Respond to event inquiries
- Assist with logistics and required paperwork for events
- Provide a presence and support during events
- Maintain files and submit required forms to meet deadlines
- Funds handling
- Coordinate tours, education and outreach programs
