About The Position
Join the team at Moxy Hotel & Residence Inn Portland Thompson’s Point, a brand-new dual-branded Marriott hotel bringing fresh energy, style, and hospitality to one of Portland’s most exciting waterfront destinations, newly opened in July 2026. As home to the first Moxy hotel in Northern New England, this is a chance to be part of something new from the very beginning — welcoming guests to a vibrant stay steps from Thompson’s Point’s concerts, events, dining, and culture. We’re opening the doors to something new—and we need Evening Servers who bring the energy. As an Evening Server on our team, you’ll be the face of the restaurant, creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Requirements
- Love talking to people and making connections
- Bring positive, upbeat energy to every shift
- Can think on your feet and stay cool under pressure
- Are quick, organized, and detail-focused
- Work well with a team and communicate clearly
- Take pride in creating a great guest experience
- Are flexible with scheduling (nights, weekends, holidays—it’s hospitality life!)
Nice To Haves
- Previous serving experience
- Familiarity with POS systems
Responsibilities
- Greeting every guest with a smile, eye contact, and genuine hospitality
- Taking food and beverage orders and keeping service flowing smoothly
- Delivering meals, drinks, and everything in between with accuracy and energy
- Knowing the menu inside and out so you can answer questions and make recommendations
- Making sure every dish is exactly right—because details matter
- Clearing and resetting tables quickly to keep the space fresh and inviting
- Handling payments and closing out checks efficiently
- Keeping your area stocked, clean, and ready for the next guest
- Jumping in to support the team wherever needed
