About The Position

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago North Shore Deerfield is looking to hire a Hospitality Attendant. This role is responsible for preparing and serving daily evening reception, greeting each guest, and ensuring the guests are comfortable and overall satisfied. The ideal candidate will maintain brand standards for the evening reception, practice safe food handling, and manage inventory of supplies.

Ability to set up and maintain evening reception according to brand standards
Knowledge of safe food handling and service practices
Ability to take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies
Ability to set up serving dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and paper products
Ability to replenish food, service supplies, and utensils
Ability to prepare and set up food items
Ability to clear and clean tables
Ability to follow menu requirements
Ability to wipe up spills
Ability to restock items
Ability to wash serving equipment and return to storage
Ability to return reusable food supplies to storage
Ability to maintain cleanliness of the area (trash removal, cleaning counters, cabinets, floors)
Ability to listen and respond to guest requests and complaints

Responsibilities

Preparing and serving daily evening reception
Greeting each guest
Ensuring guests are comfortable and satisfied
Setting up and maintaining the evening reception as required by brand standards
Maintain safe food handling and service practices at all times
Taking inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
Setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups, and other paper products
Replenish food and service supplies and utensils in the reception area
Preparing and setting up food items such as chips and salsa, beverages, etc...
Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated
Follow menu requirements as provided by the brand
Wiping up spills
Restocking items consistently throughout the evening reception hours and for the next day
Washing serving equipment and returning to storage
Returning reusable food supplies to storage
Keeping the area clean by removing trash, cleaning counters, cabinets, and floors
Listening and responding to guests' requests and complaints
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
