About The Position

The Kitchen Production / Overnight Delivery Driver is an entry-level kitchen role responsible for supporting evening food production while also assisting with overnight delivery operations. This position works closely with kitchen leadership to prepare products accurately, maintain food safety standards, and ensure timely distribution to all Kuppa Joy locations. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both hands-on in the kitchen and independently during overnight delivery routes.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and SOPs accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Comfortable working independently during overnight shifts
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must be 25 years or older to meet company vehicle insurance requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Ability to bend, reach, squat, kneel, and perform repetitive motions
  • Comfortable working evenings, overnight shifts (up to 2–5 AM), weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable driving overnight to Madera, Fresno, Clovis, and Visalia
  • Minimum availability of 25 hours per week
  • California Food Handler Certification (must obtain upon hire)
  • Completion of pre-employment assessments (sent via email)
  • Participation in a video interview as part of the hiring process

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients, doughs, batters, and food items according to established recipes
  • Assist with cooking, baking, assembling, and packaging products
  • Follow production schedules to ensure timely completion of daily kitchen needs
  • Accurately measure ingredients and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, tools, and equipment
  • Monitor product quality and notify leadership of any concerns
  • Practice proper food handling, labeling, storage, and rotation (FIFO)
  • Complete overnight delivery routes approximately one night per week (Midnight to 5am)
  • Provide additional coverage for the full-time driver as needed
  • Safely load, transport, and unload food products to multiple store locations
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all deliveries
  • Follow all traffic laws and company vehicle policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles
  • Work cooperatively with kitchen team members and leadership
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully during shifts
  • Maintain punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic
  • Be receptive to coaching, feedback, and ongoing training
  • Assist with daily and weekly cleaning tasks (dishes, surfaces, floors, equipment)
  • Follow closing and sanitation checklists
  • Support overall kitchen organization and readiness for the next production day
