About The Position

St. Rose of Lima Catholic Academy is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Evening Custodial Team Member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and families. This position plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the school by ensuring classrooms, common areas, and shared spaces are cleaned and prepared for the following school day. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates well with teammates and supervisors, and contributes positively to a collaborative school environment.

Requirements

Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift, move, and carry cleaning equipment and supplies.
Willingness to collaborate with administration, maintenance staff, and fellow custodial team members.

Nice To Haves

Prior custodial or maintenance experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Sweep and vacuum floors in all K–8 classrooms.
Remove classroom trash and place bags in designated hallway collection areas.
Clean and sanitize all student and staff bathrooms.
Sweep and spot mop hallways throughout all school wings.
Sweep and mop cafeteria floors.
Clean and wipe surfaces in the front office and principal’s office.
Sweep and mop the faculty kitchen, breakroom, and faculty restroom.
Coordinate with the maintenance team regarding any facility or repair concerns observed during shifts.
Restock custodial closets and organize incoming supplies and deliveries.
Clean cafeteria tables and floors following aftercare use.
Clean the art room and basement bathrooms.
Wipe and sanitize tables and classroom surfaces in the preschool wing.
Sweep and vacuum floors in the preschool wing.
Disinfect preschool bathrooms.
Ensure toys, materials, and learning spaces in the preschool wing are clean, organized, and properly stored.
Sweep gym floors and complete spot mopping as needed.
Remove trash and clean bleachers in the gym.
Vacuum library floors.
Clean counselor offices and student support rooms.
