About The Position

This is a posting for an existing job vacancy. You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing. As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents rooms and common areas. Assist with set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing, laundry and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen. Maintaining clean public areas such as washrooms, hallways, dining room, removing garbage and recycling. Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management. Be the first point of contact for the community, answering the phone, responding to resident medical emergencies. Co-ordinating with emergency services 911 as neccessary.

Requirements

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Nice To Haves

• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
